Mindyrose was born and raised in Southwest Missouri on ten acres with horses, dogs, cats, parrots, and hamsters. Raised by two doctors, she was familiar with medicine and scrubbed into surgeries at a young age to watch her father help save lives. Her parents always hoped she would follow a medical route.
After high school, she moved south and joined Chi Omega Fraternity at the University of Arkansas with a degree in advertising and public relations. Woo Pig! While in school, Mindy attempted to foster a dog, but obviously failed. Otto became Mindy’s partner in crime only one day after living together. After graduating in 2014, the duo moved to Austin Texas to help her older sister with her videography business for a few years. Now that her sister is one of the best videographers in Austin, Mindy has started to focus on her own life-goals.
Mindy is now attending Austin Community College for a second degree in General Science to gain the prerequisites needed to apply to College of Veterinarian Medicine at Kansas State. She hopes to work with exotic animals in the near future.
Mindy joined Highland’s Pet Medical Clinic in 2017 and the staff welcomed her with open arms. Since joining the Highland’s family, she has taken in two Louisiana farm kittens that have grown into larger than life personalities. Greta Van Floof is named after one of Mindy’s favorite bands, Greta Van Fleet, and Tito Solito, like Otto, was named after an old cartoon series favorite, Rocket Power.
She looks forward to meeting all of your amazing pets and helping them live their best lives possible.
