Mark Venghaus, DVM

Dr. Mark Venghaus has spent more than 25 years compassionately caring for animals and their owners. He earned his undergraduate degree and Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M, graduating in 1990. Born and raised in Houston, he moved to Austin in 1995 and began working at Highland’s Pet Medical Clinic a year later.

Dr. Venghaus is dedicated to the care and health of dogs and cats; treating, diagnosing and researching a wide array of medical conditions. He advises his clients and makes them aware of the of treatment possibilities and is devoted to providing the best service possible.

He is happily married to Mary Venghaus, a licensed professional counselor. They have a constantly  happy black lab named Dexter (head of security here at Highland’s) and three kitties – Izzie is a rare female orange tabby, Tuco is a short-haired flame point kitty that loves getting into trouble, and Rosie is the newest and sweetest kitty.

In his free time, Dr. V enjoys listening to music, gardening, photography, college basketball/football and playing dominoes (especially 42).
